Track Your Top 3 Revenue Channels

Where are your sales actually coming from?

It’s easy to assume we know what’s working in our business.

We think:
“I sell a lot at shows.”
“Instagram is doing well.”
“My website is growing.”

But when you actually sit down and look at the numbers… the story is often different.

And that difference?
That’s where your clarity—and your growth—lives.

Why This Matters

As creatives, we tend to spread ourselves across multiple platforms:

  • Shows and markets

  • Website

  • Instagram

  • Wholesale

Each one takes time, energy, and often money.

But not all channels are created equal.

Some bring in real revenue.
Some bring visibility.
Some just… take up space.

If you don’t know which is which, you can’t make smart decisions about where to focus.

The Simple Exercise

This isn’t complicated. In fact, it shouldn’t be.

All you need is a basic spreadsheet and about 20 minutes.

Start by listing your main sales channels:

  • Shows

  • Website

  • Instagram

  • Wholesale

Then track:

  • Total sales from each channel

  • Number of transactions

  • Average order value (optional, but helpful)

Even a rough estimate is better than guessing.

What You Might Discover

This is where it gets interesting.

You might find:

  • Shows bring in the most revenue—but require the most time

  • Wholesale brings steady income with less effort

  • Instagram creates engagement—but very few direct sales

  • Your website quietly outperforms everything

Or… something completely unexpected.

Now Ask Yourself

Once you see the numbers, ask:

  • Where am I spending the most time?

  • Is it aligned with where I’m making the most money?

  • Which channel has the most potential if I gave it more attention?

  • What could I simplify or let go of?

This isn’t about doing more.

It’s about doing more of what works.

A Simple Shift

Instead of trying to show up everywhere…

What if you focused on your top 2–3 revenue drivers?

What if your decisions became clearer because you had actual data—not assumptions?

That’s how businesses grow sustainably.

Not from doing everything.
But from knowing what matters.
