How W4W Began

I never set out to start a networking organization. I simply wanted to create the kind of community I wished existed. As an artist and entrepreneur, I learned something many business owners eventually discover: building something you care about can be incredibly rewarding — and surprisingly lonely.

There are moments when an idea finally comes together. There are also moments filled with questions, uncertainty, and the feeling that everyone else has it figured out. The truth? They don't. Behind every small business is a woman learning as she goes, celebrating small wins, navigating setbacks, wearing too many hats, and wondering if she's the only one. She's not.

It Started with a Conversation

W4W didn't begin with a business plan. It began around a table. A handful of women gathered to share ideas, ask questions, and simply spend time with people who understood what it meant to build a business from the ground up.

Something happened that none of us expected. Instead of competing, women started collaborating. Instead of protecting opportunities, they shared them. Instead of asking "How do I get ahead?" they started asking "How can I help?"

That simple shift changed everything. We weren't just building businesses. We were building relationships.

We Started Seeing One Another

One of the most meaningful things happened almost without us realizing it: women began noticing one another. Someone celebrated another member's win. Someone recommended a fellow member to a client. Someone introduced two women who needed to meet. That's when it became clear — everyone has gifts. Sometimes all it takes is someone else recognizing them.

That spirit is the heartbeat of W4W. We intentionally celebrate our members — through newsletters, social media, workshops, and everyday conversation — because women thrive when they're seen, encouraged, and connected. When one woman succeeds, the whole community gets stronger.

Where We Are Today

What began with a few women around a table has grown into a community of artists, makers, retailers, service providers, coaches, and entrepreneurs who believe business is better built together.

We're still pulling up chairs. Still making introductions. Still celebrating one another. Still learning together. And we'd love for you to be part of the story — because when women support women, incredible things happen.
