Ready. Aim. Fire. One Connection Led to Another

Remember when Kate Stewart of Bauble Stockings encouraged us to stop waiting until everything is perfect and just take action?

I've been putting that lesson into practice.

After Kate's talk with W4W, Angie Turner of Angie Avard Turner Law started following W4W on Instagram. I looked her up and, ironically, she was exactly the person I had been searching for. Angie is an attorney who works with creative entrepreneurs, helping them protect their businesses through trademarks, contracts, licensing agreements, and intellectual property law. These are topics so many of us need to understand, and I'm excited that Angie will be speaking with W4W this fall.

As we talked, I mentioned that I was also looking for someone who could help us better understand profitability and finances from a creative entrepreneur's perspective. Without hesitation, Angie said, "You need to talk to Michele Williams of Scarlet Thread Consulting."

So I took Kate's advice.

Ready. Fire. Aim.

I sent Michele an email.

She responded.

We had a wonderful conversation, and I immediately knew she would be a great fit for our community. Michele is the founder of Scarlet Thread Consulting and host of the Profit Is a Choice podcast. She works with creative business owners to help them build profitable, sustainable businesses while still honoring their creativity and purpose.

Then something unexpected happened.

While listening to Michele's podcast, I was introduced to Kathryn Dillon of Shifting Rhythms Coaching. Kathryn was discussing the book The Seven Primal Questions by Mike Foster, which I'm currently listening to, and I found the conversation incredibly enlightening. The book explores the deeper motivations behind our decisions, relationships, and behaviors—and it's helping me better understand why creating W4W feels so important to me.

I've linked the book below if you'd like to explore it yourself. Full disclosure: it's an affiliate link, which means W4W may earn a small commission if you decide to purchase, at no additional cost to you. Thank you for supporting our community and the resources we share.

I'm also speaking with Kathryn this week about the possibility of her joining us in the future. Stay tuned!
